NeuroCult™ Basal Medium (Mouse) is a standardized basal medium designed to be supplemented with NeuroCult™ Proliferation Supplement (Mouse; Catalog #05701) and appropriate cytokines for the in vitro culture and expansion of mouse neural stem and progenitor cells (NSCs). This medium may be used to culture NSCs from normal tissues or tumor samples, in the neurosphere or adherent monolayer system. NeuroCult™ Basal Medium (Mouse) can also be supplemented with NeuroCult™ Differentiation Supplement (Mouse; Catalog #05703) for the differentiation of mouse neural stem and progenitor cells into neurons, astrocytes, and oligodendrocytes. NeuroCult™ Basal Medium (Mouse) is a component of the NeuroCult™ Proliferation Kit (Mouse; Catalog #05702) and the NeuroCult™ Differentiation Kit (Mouse; Catalog #05704).

NOTE: When preparing Complete NeuroCult™ Proliferation Medium (Mouse), addition of Human Recombinant EGF (Catalog #78006) is required. When culturing cells obtained from adult mouse, Human Recombinant bFGF (Catalog #78003) and Heparin Solution (Catalog #07980) are also required.
