In this study, production of Influenza viruses using Vero cells in commercially available animal-component free, serum-free medium is described. This work can be used as a basis for efficient production of attenuated as well as wild type Influenza virus for research and vaccine production.

The cells are cultured in EX-CELL Vero SFM. EX-CELL Vero SFM is a commercially available product. The precise formulation is proprietary.
