Varghese, K., Das, M., Bhargava, N., Stancescu, M., Molnar, P., Kindy, M. S., & Hickman, J. J. (2009). Regeneration and characterization of adult mouse hippocampal neurons in a defined in vitro system. Journal of neuroscience methods, 177(1), 51-59. In this study, a novel cell culture method has been developed that supports the long-term survival and physiological regeneration of adult mouse hippocampal cells in a serum-free defined environment. In this well-defined, controlled system, adult mouse hippocampal cells survived for up to 21 days in culture. Media formulations of the dissection-, plating- and growth-media are detailed in Table 1. https://ac.els-cdn.com/S0165027008005657/1-s2.0-S0165027008005657-main.pdf?_tid=4bce3a8f-7e12-4a99-abc0-f54bced0dab5&acdnat=1530537238_e56918802a03ea860af94a95f7427ee6 |
