de la Luz-Hernández, K. R., Rojas-del Calvo, L., Rabasa-Legón, Y., Lage-Castellanos, A., Castillo-Vitlloch, A., Díaz, J., & Gaskell, S. (2008). Metabolic and proteomic study of NS0 myeloma cell line following the adaptation to protein-free medium. Journal of proteomics, 71(2), 133-147. doi: 10.1016/j.jprot.2008.02.003. In this study NS0 myeloma cell line is adapted to a protein-free culture media. The authors used the iTRAQ technology to analyze different protein levels in adapted and non-adapted NS0 myeloma cell line. Several proteins with differential expression profile were characterized and quantified. Carbohydrate metabolism, protein synthesis and membrane transport were the principal pathways that change after the adaptation. Changes in lactate production rate with respect to glucose consumption rate were observed according to the changes observed by proteomic. Protein Free Hybridoma Medium II (PFHM II) is a commercial serum-free, protein-free medium specifically developed for the ability to support the growth of hybridomas for antibody production. The formulation of PFHM II is proprietary. https://ac.els-cdn.com/S1874391908000080/1-s2.0-S1874391908000080-main.pdf?_tid=f2ec0b79-0384-4fa5-81ea-1c722bf63c57&acdnat=1534405988_8df032a1832b340b936ebbb8993e80ff |
